My alternative photography explores the relationship between elapsed time and perceived memory.
With influences as diverse as David Perry’s subject matter and the alternative photography techniques of Charles Debus, I am able to experiment with the ideals associated through classic Americana and the duration of time through aleatoric practice.
I am fascinated by forgotten Americana and how its demise is in direct relationship with societal changes. What starts out as glimmering hope soon becomes forgotten cherished items, leaving only a sense of what could have been and the exposing the new reality.
With a methodology that leaves room for chance, the viewer is left with an insight of the forgotten past and the actual present.
